Band History:

The band was formed in early to mid 2004 after an incredible series of chance meetings at the local jams. Dynaflow was put up with Captain Dan on several occasions during the Rocket 88 jam sessions (hosted by Bullet Bill Tarsha, quite posibly one of the best harp players in the U.S.) and after getting used to playing with each other, a serious musical connection was founded and the 'Double D Boys' jelled into a solid guitar team. Rocket' Randy was a regular at the Jam's on Bass and the guys all wanted him to play in the band very badly, but he was in another band. After a little conversation, it was discovered he wanted to play things a bit more kicked up and liked playing with the team and the musical core was soon thereafter formed.

Mike Petteys joined the brotherhood on drums in 2005 and we're incredibly impressed by his work ethic, talent and general easy going nature, he became part of the core shortly after we heard him in an audition and we're extremely glad to have him.

In late 2005, our lead singer left and we stumbled across a little lady with a huge voice, Ms. Sarah Styles. Look for a even better 2006 as the Brotherhood (plus Sister) widens its musical possibilities and song list. In early 2007 Dynaflow left the band due to health related issues. Mid 2007 Dynaflow (Reverend D) returns after much needed rest. Thanks for your support!

Michael 'Sticks' Petteys (Drums, Precussion)

Born on a farm in the Maumee River Valley, Michael "Sticks" Petteys was then raised in the Rust Belt cities of Detroit, Cleveland and Chicago. Growing up, he played percussion in school, jammed in drum circles and listened intently to blues, jazz and rock. After a job led him from the 'Windy City' to Cave Creek, he joined a blues/soul trio that later fell apart due to 'artistic differences'. Michael can often be seen playing his '60's Sonor kit and '70's Paiste cymbals while sporting a righteous red FEZ (it's a long story, don't ask!).

Captain Dan Electro (Lead Guitar and Slide)

Captain Dan was born in Seattle. He grew up loving the blues/rock of the 60's and 70's. Started playing when he was 15 and was turned on to GRANT GREEN, PETER GREEN, MC5 AND THE ROCKET 88'S and by all indications, his switch from playing rock in the Seattle AB bar circuit to playing the blues pretty much exclusively has been a complete success. He openly admits to being a "GEAR WHORE" but says "nobodies perfect" (we disagree; he's the perfect lead guitarist for us). Captain Dan plays Fender amps and a wide array of guitars although he's a dyed in wool Gibson Les Paul player. Captain Dan's use of effects is mostly limited to echo's, distortions and the Wah Wah for that righteous 60's, 70's british blues invasion sound.

Rocket' Randy Ruckman (Bass)

A veteran Blues jam bassist, Randy has played traditional and rockin' Blues with many of the Blues acts in the Phoenix area.  Randy credits the Rocket 88's and especially bassist Susie Tarsha for the inspiration to play "nothin' but the Blues". Randy's instruments of choice are Fender basses and amp.

Sarah Styles (Lead Vocals)

Born in a small town outside of Seatle, Wa., Sarah had great aspirations of becoming a singer when she grew up. Later in life, she moved to Phx. where she got the once in a lifetime opportunity of meeting a highly renowned band (whose name shall remain annonymous). Sarah and her Mother were whisked away to lovely Las Vegas by the band. She was given another lifetime opportunity to sit in on a MTV interview with the band. It was then that she decided to pursue her dreams. Still not having grown up any-at-all she now sings with the Brotherhood Of Blues (Featuring Sarah Styles ;) )

Reverend D

Born in Sacramento California, Rev played the blues jams in Phoenix after meeting Bill Tarsha via his Wife who knew of the jams. After doing his stint he connected with the other brothers to form the band. Rhythm and Funk is his main contribution to the band, he gets a few solo's in and sometimes the answer to Capt Dan's call. Rev's return in mid 2007 allows him to do what he loves best, playing music with his friends and wringing out his homebrewed amps with Lucille (his number 1 guitar BB King lucille model) and Blondie (number 2 strat) and occassionally Blue gumbie (Ibanez in jewel blue).
